Employee will be responsible for maintaining a detailed production control system for the business.
Acts as primary liaison between sales, production, purchasing, engineering, operations, and maintenance to efficiently manage the master production schedule, ensuring the continuous supply and timely delivery of products to the customer while achieving productivity and efficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for managing the master schedule for all work centers and schedule attainment.
Coordinates with manufacturing/engineering to establish time and efficiency standards.
Tracks a master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to customer orders.
Confers with plant manager regarding production specifications and plant capacity data.
Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations.
Strategically balances existing labor and machine capacity to maximize efficiency and production throughput.
Performs schedule reviews to ensure effective and efficient best practices for scheduling are utilized.
Regularly monitors and provides updates on order statuses, while coordinating priorities with customer service.
Works with the purchasing manager to obtain materials, determine scheduling and costs.
Monitors, identifies and adjusts schedules based on material lead times.
Confers with department supervisors to determine changes to processes.
Reviews MRP reports to determine need for cylinder and component work order requirements.
Prepares and launches work orders, routers and travelers.
Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
Prepares production reports and maintains performance metrics and dashboards for production as needed by the plant manager.
Assists the plant manager with ensuring standard costs are met.
Other job duties as assigned.
BASIC
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED Must possess a high degree of computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office High level of organization and communication skills 1
years in a manufacturing/industrial like environment 1
years of supervisory experience PREFERRED
Qualifications:
Associate degree or higher Extensive experience with ERP/MRP application 3
years of manufacturing experience 3
